Employees Ban "Wireless Leash"


Could you live without your cell phone for a year?

Banned from using cell phones while driving for one full year, employees at AMEC say they are thankful for the experience.

Following a one-year pilot program restricting cell phone use at the international project management and engineering services company, employees have asked to have the ban made permanent.

They have told management that they prefer being free of the 'corporate wireless leash' and add that their productivity is as high as ever, dispelling a myth about multitasking while driving, the firm's communications manager, John Kageorge, described.
