Verizon Wireless Continues Major Expansion in Maine

Verizon Wireless has announced a significant network expansion in Maine through the activation of 13 cell sites across the Maine Highlands reaching Bangor, Carmel, Etna and Orono. This expansion brings the total cell site additions in Maine to more than 50 this year.

Maine residents and visitors can now send and receive wireless calls when traveling to see local Bangor landmarks like the 31-foot statute of Paul Bunyan, or horror novelist Stephen King's home.

During the Fall Foliage season 'leaf peepers' will be able to snap photos or record video of the New England scenery to send wirelessly to friends and families.
